Our global data management teams share one common system. This means that peak workloads at interim and final database lock periods can be managed successfully from multiple offices in different time zones. We literally work around the clock to achieve rapid database locks. Even on large global trials, we can achieve database locks in less than 2 weeks of receipt of the last CRF.
To make the most effective use of resources and to avoid end-of-study crisis, we use a data forecasting and re-forecasting method: Project Informatics (PI). PI predicts patient recruitment, models CRF flow and allows us to anticipate and plan for resource requirements. Since implementing this proactive approach to data forecasting and resource requirements, we have locked 98% of databases within 1 day of the target date. |
